For the National Museum exhibition Lucy and Selam: The Beginnings of the Human Story, we created a TV spot that brings Lucy to life through 3D animation – one of the oldest and most precious human ancestors. This is a unique museum exhibit which, together with the Selam fossil, was exhibited in Europe for the very first time. The discovery of these remains fundamentally changed our understanding of human evolution. Thanks to the exceptionally well-preserved skeletons, it was possible to reconstruct the appearance of early australopithecines. The animation highlights Lucy’s anatomical features in detail and complements them with body movement and facial expressions, further pushing the level of realism.
