An interactive exhibition "Liberation without Liberty" works as a prequel to the planned multi-city museum project Memory of Nations Institutes (Instituty Paměti Národa or IPN).
The Exhibition
The "Liberation without Liberty" exhibition is based on the real stories of four different contemporary witnesses of the communist regime in Czechoslovakia. They lead the visitor through the exhibition and present the discussed era in a very personal and immersive way.
The Digital Guide
The experience is connected together and controlled with a tablet based interactive digital guide developed in 3dsense. It serves in a couple of different ways. First, it's an audio guide and a source of graphic information. Second, it's a physical guide which leads you through the exhibition on a predefined route. Third, it's an AR viewer, interacting with selected exhibits. Last but not least it works as a controller which makes the exhibits run or graphic contents start.
The whole concept of the exhibition was created in cooperation with Post Bellum n.g.o., the initiator and owner of the project, Institute of Information Studies and Librarianship at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague and Monument Office Agency.
